Nero Burning Rom....

Many of u guys probably have cd or dvd writers and most of u probably use Nero Burning Rom cause its like one of the best burnin softwares around...ever tried to analyze the name? nero-burning-rom??? it makes sense right?? assuming Nero is the company name, Burning would indicate burning or writing discs...and Rom should stand for the cd rom or the dvd rom...it makes perfect sense......right??? Wrong! it has a pun in it.

Now here's the cool part...the name happens to be something way cooler than u think!
Nero stands for the Roman Emperor Nero who ruled the roman empire for fourteen years. On the night of July 18th...64 AD, There was a fire that broke out in rome which was later called the Great Fire of Rome. This fire lasted for about a week at thousands of people had lost their homes and families. It was said that during the fire, Nero stood in his palace, watched the flames and sang The sack of Ilium which is an epic of Greek Literature that depicts the Trojan Wars. Eventually word had spread about this and people started suspecting Nero of starting the fire himself since he always proposed for a better built Rome and had his own plans of rebuilding rome during his rule. So eventually people started considering the fact that "Nero Burnt Rome". The same sentence in a present tense would be "Nero Burning Rome". In german...Rome is spelt "Rom" and not "Rome". So the whole thing FINALLY makes sense....The software named Nero Burning Rome actually indicates The emperor Nero Burning Rome....even the official logo of the software is a picture of the Colloseum in rome...burning. Damn cool huh?
